Sunshiaa Aiteeneyas is an Associate Lawyer at AP Lawyers. Along with her Law Degree, she holds a Bachelor of Arts (hons.) degree in Criminology from University of Ontario. Prior to joining AP Lawyers, Sunshiaa cut her legal teeth with experience in insurance defence, bodily injury and subrogation. Sunshiaa is passionate about family and child protection matter.
Her practice focuses on domestic violence matters, high-conflict parenting files, and child protection. She believes in advocating for domestic violence victims and access to justice. She puts her expertise to work, providing legal solutions with compassion and integrity. She appears before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Family Court Branch, and the Ontario Court of Justice. Sunshiaa offers legal services in English and Tamil.

Experience beyond family law
Before joining the firm, I gained litigation experience in insurance defence with a focus on bodily injury and subrogation matters. That work gave me a strong foundation in dispute resolution which I bring to every family law file. I am committed to continually developing my legal knowledge and advocacy skills. I have completed the Stitt Feld Handy negotiation course and hold a LexisNexis Certificate. I have also represented clients before the Social Security Tribunal, helping individuals work through complex legal issues and improve their access to justice.
