Danyal Rawjani is an associate lawyer at AP Lawyers. He holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Hons.) degree in Political Science with a minor in Criminology at the University of Ottawa. He graduated with a Juris Doctor degree in 2018 from the University of Windsor. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2019.
Prior to joining AP Lawyers, Danyal gained experience in civil litigation where he advocated for clients and represented them in various steps of the Ontario litigation process. Danyal has always had a passion for immigration law and gained first-hand experience working as a summer student for the Canadian Border Services Agency, where he screened refugee applications. Danyal also won the “best presenter” at the Windsor Law Review Student Conference for his paper on the problem of criminal inadmissibility for refugees trying to come to Canada despite using the defence of duress.
Danyal also speaks Urdu and Hindi to better assist clients. In his spare time, Danyal enjoys performing in his band, blogging about music, listening to podcasts and playing fetch with his dogs Chum Chum and Burfi when he visits his family in Ottawa.
