I had a consultation via Skype with Angela. She sounded great, much better than the last lawyer I consulted with. She is really "there" when you talk to her. When she said they give "tough love" combined with their great Google reviews I said I'm in. I knew they cost more than other lawyers, but I consulted with less expensive ones and didn't want to take any chances. Brendan M. McDermott was my lawyer. He seemed fine and wrote a good letter to the opposing council, Ms. Lyna Perelman. However I spoke to him once on the phone and was underwhelmed. Too much "blah, blah, blah" for mel He left the practice and I had a choice of staying with him or having somebody there take over and I chose the latter. At first they said I would have to pay for somebody to catch up on the case and I said "no", since that is not the way the rest of the world works but we got passed that little bump. Anyway Sherine Abdi takes my case and she has been amazing! She took the step of phoning when she saw it as more efficient. She was very conscious of how over $200 a day forgone investment was lost since funds from the sale of our house were held up. She didn't suggest fighting the stupid ideas from Ms. Lianne Eklove (Ms. Perelman dropped our case) and kept a balance in between standing up to nonsense and letting other issues go. When I spoke to Sherine on the phone she stuck to the issues, none of that "blah blah" talk. We had the case wrapped up quickly. She behaved as I expected anyone hired by Angela to behave. So nice to have a little silver lining in a very dark cloud of my life. Thanks Sherine. One last thing to all of you, don't use your lawyer as a therapist. It's not their job and they will charge you for it, just do what I did, "get'er done"!
